After various challenges to the pilot episode, the new series of Steven Moffat (writer of Dr Who) and Mark Gatiss , finally aired initially in a format of 3x90 ' from that months, a priori, between 24 and 30 July.
The first episode, titled A Study in Pink (obviously referring to the first history of canon A Study in Scarlett), directed by Paul McGuigan, always count the cast, as was originally announced, Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock), Martin Freeman (Watson) and Rupert Graves (DI Lestrade), and Una Stubbs (Mrs. Hudson).
Two other episodes entitled The Blind Banker (dir.: Euros Lyn) and The Great Game (always by Paul McGuigan) will follow. For now, we ignore the periodicity of the distribution of future episodes.

other hand, a video was aired excerpts on youtube a few days ago, and was unfortunately deleted for reasons of copyright. I'll post the trailer once it has been formalized by the BBC.
According to previews, the atmosphere of the series promises to be quite particulèrement black and sanitized, a modern version of what could eventually be the world of Conan Doyle XXI century ...
The two main characters, played by the excellent Benedict Cumberbacth (nominé pour un BAFTA pour son excellente prestation dans Small Island) et Martin Freeman (vu dans Hot Fuzz, the Office, et Love Actually), promettent de s'approcher au plus près de leur homologues originaux, avec évidemment toutes les implications modernes que l'on peut imaginer.
Le Sherlock présenté dans cette série paraît offrir une magnifique palette d'expressions purement holmesienne, avec la rigueur et l'intelligence froide qu'on lui connaît, avec une juste dose d'inconscience et d'amusement.
Le peu que j'en ai vu à travers le trailer m'a immédiatement plu. On ne demande qu'à voir... !
EDIT du 15/07 : Le premier épisode SHERLOCK - A STUDY IN PINK, will air Sunday, July 25 at 9.00 PM (local time) or 22:00 in France, Switzerland and Belgium.
