In 1977
the Hmong originating of LAOS, are installed ROURA then COCOA . end of 1979, a second location was opened in Javouhey on the common
MANA . a few years they will succeed where many have failed before them: to establish and develop a real gardening.
Currently, virtually all fruits vegetables produced in Guyana are grown by Hmong.
This village, situated on the banks of the Shire (*), about 70 km from
Cayenne , is part of the town of Roura . It is populated mostly by Hmong . On Sunday morning, the atmosphere of a picturesque market is unparalleled, but the prices become increasingly exaggerated. Surrounding Cocoa are dedicated to culture: fields and orchards of fruit trees replace the virgin forest.
Several restaurants offer visitors the opportunity to experience Asian cuisine.

Located about 120 kilometers
Cayenne , Regina is not the eastern terminus National Highway 2, which now continues to St-Georges de l'Oyapock . .
This allows to open up this border town, and finish the coastal highway to link Brazil to Surinam.

Regina, which has about 800 inhabitants, is built on the river Approuague, near its mouth.

There is not much to see in Regina, for cons, the river's Approuague is one of the finest in French Guiana.
