Happy Year of the Rabbit Rumor

Chinese New Year or Tet holiday (Viet Nam)

A Year of the Rabbit metal should be a year enjoyable. Rather quiet with some great opportunities that will benefit mainly those who will rise more than continuers goers. A particularly conducive to the social and sentimental a year when the kindness will be featured.

A good year for the art of living: cooking, entertaining, caring for his appearance and that of his home, his comfort, practice arts and crafts. An ideal year to tinker and create.
Origin

The New Year is called "Guo Nien. The legend says that the Nien was a cruel and voracious monster coming down the mountains of New Year's Eve to find food. He devoured pets and even humans and everyone fled before him.

Until we discovered he was terrorized by the red fire and noise. Away from home for the villagers painted their doors red or displayed on each side of the door a strip of red paper on which was wrote a verse, we lit the fire and torches in front and made noise by banging on objects or snapping firecrackers, traditions still alive today. Next morning, a feeling of triumph and an atmosphere of revival reigned since Nien had been sidelined for a further year. Everyone rejoiced when launching: "Kung-hsi" (congratulations).
Now we just use lots of red decorations and break up firecrackers on New Year's Day. The visits that we made the New Year's Day had originally intended to congratulate themselves for having prevented the coming Nien. At this event an envelope or red packet containing money is delivered. It is supposed to bring good luck.

The Chinese zodiac dates from the sixth century and has the following caption:

A New Year's night, the Jade Emperor invited all the animals of the earth to visit him. Only twelve of them obeyed. The energetic opened buffalo walking along the road, but he had not realized that the rat, cunning, was perched on him. Upon arriving before the emperor, the rat jumped to the buffalo and the emperor saw him first. Then came the Tiger smiling, chatting (or rabbit) careful, the glittering dragon, the wise snake, horse talented, sensitive the Goat, the Evil Monkey, Rooster, proud, loyal dog and finally the Pig scrupulous. In appreciation, Buddha introduced a year "symbolic" in honor of each of his visitors and he decreed that every newborn now inherit the characteristics of the animal's birth year.
