Xinran - Messages from unknown mothers

I just got my copy of Xinran - Messages of mother unknown

When I am finished playing I'll come give you my opinion. In the meantime here's the summary Book:

Again, Xinran takes us to the heart of the lives of Chinese women - students, business women, midwives, farmers - all haunted by memories that have marked life an indelible mark.

Whether because of the one-child policy, ancient traditions of terrible destructive or economic necessity, women have been forced to give their daughters up for adoption, others had to abandon them - in the street , near hospitals, orphanages or on railway platforms - in others, was removed their little girls just born to drown.

These narratives, Xinran had hitherto never been able to bring them back - they were too painful and too closely. To all the Chinese girls who were adopted abroad, this book sends a powerful message to show them what their mothers have actually lived and told them they were loved and will never be forgotten.
