Why organize a workshop on parent-child alert based on Chinese culture and Mandarin language?
Parents are the first players in the wake of their child. The workshop language awareness and motor provides tools, ideas and techniques to parents that they can reuse at home. The introduction to Mandarin offered by Tong Yao is suitable for young children in an educational and entertaining children and prepare for a possible further learning of Mandarin and a general awakening to language.
Moreover, Tong Yao also supports parents become "a bridge" between the two cultures of their child. It is a great opportunity for them to teach their child that his difference is beautiful in their eyes and pride in its origins to their heart.
This activity, under the supervision of the CREP CSDM is based on fun and the game takes the form of a workshop for children and their parents busy in Mandarin and French. Rhymes, dances, Chinese stories, children's culture and traditional Chinese festivals are the heart of the process. This workshop is entitled: "Tong Yao, come sing nursery rhymes," which means Yao Tong precisely in Mandarin: "sing nursery rhymes."
The animation will be provided by Ms. Lin Yu-Tung, Chinese from Taiwan who has a long track record in teaching Mandarin and animation of cultural activity for children. Ms. Tung works especially for the program PELO (curriculum original language) of the Commission scolaire de Montréal. It will be supported by a professional French mandated by the CREP (Center for Teaching and Learning Resources School Board of Montreal) in the supervision and teaching of the participants.
See you meet at the workshop Tong Yáo!
